How do I transfer tickets?

Ticket Transfer makes it possible to share tickets with your friends and family! Whether you’re buying for a group or gifting someone a surprise ticket, you can transfer tickets with a few taps.

Transfer with the Moduticket App

  1. Open the Moduticket App and sign in to your account.

  2. Navigate to My Events and select the event to view your tickets.

  3. Tap Transfer.
    NOTE: If the Transfer button is grayed out, your tickets are not eligible for transfer.

  4. Select the tickets you’d like to transfer and tap Transfer To.

  5. Enter your recipient’s information, including their mobile number or email address and an optional note.
    TIP: If a mobile number is entered, a link to claim the ticket will open within a text message–all you need to do is press send! If an email address is entered, a link to claim the ticket is sent via an email message. 

  6. Tap Transfer Ticket.  

Your transferred tickets will show as sent. When your recipient has accepted them, the ticket will show as claimed. You will receive an email confirming the ticket has been accepted by your recipient. After a successful transfer, the ticket is no longer valid for entry from your account.

Transfer with a Desktop or Laptop

  1. Sign in to your Moduticket account.

  2. Navigate to your event by clicking your name in the top right and clicking My Tickets.

  3. Find your event and click See Details.

  4. Click Transfer Tickets.
    NOTE: If the Transfer button is grayed out, your tickets are not eligible for transfer.

  5. Select the tickets you’d like to transfer and click Continue.  

  6. Enter your recipient’s information, including their email address and an optional note.  

  7. Click Send.  

Your transferred tickets will show as sent. When your recipient has accepted them, the ticket will show as claimed. You will receive an email confirming the ticket has been accepted by your recipient. After a successful transfer, the ticket is no longer valid for entry from your account.

How does ticket transfer work? Is it safe?

When you transfer a ticket, the recipient you are sending the tickets to will accept the tickets with our secure system. When the ticket is accepted, we re-issue a new barcode to the person who you sent the tickets to.

What’s the benefit of using Transfer Tickets?

Transferring a ticket allows you to send tickets from your Moduticket account to other people securely. You can choose to send some or all of your tickets. Using Transfer Tickets allows everyone going to the event to have their own ticket! It’s easy, safe, and completely free.

Can I Transfer Tickets for any event?

You can transfer tickets for most events, but some events August have rules and restrictions that will not allow ticket transfer. If Transfer is not available, the “Transfer” button will be grayed out.

Why is transfer not available on my event?

While transfer is available for most events, there are certain instances when it is not available. Which could be one of these reasons:

  • The venue doesn’t offer Ticket Transfer yet (we’re working on that)

  • The artist or venue turned Ticket Transfer off for that event/section

  • The event was canceled (ticket buyers are automatically refunded)

  • The event already took place

  • The tickets were bought over the phone

Do I have to transfer all of my tickets?

No, you can transfer all or some of your tickets.

Will the person I transfer tickets to need a Moduticket account?

Yes, and it takes just a few seconds to create one. If they already have an account, be sure to use the email address associated with their Moduticket account, so it’s even easier for them to accept their tickets.

How do I know if the tickets have been accepted?

Once you send a ticket, you will see one of two statuses. If you see “Waiting to accept,” your friend has not accepted the transferred tickets yet. You August want to remind them to check their email or text messages for the transfer invite. If you see “Accepted by,” your tickets have been successfully transferred.

Can I transfer parking that I purchased for my event?

Yes, you can transfer parking! If the transfer button is available (not grayed out), you can transfer parking to another person. Follow the same steps above to transfer parking.

For other items, check your event in your account to see if transfer is available (event ticket insurance and merchandise aren’t available for transfer). 

Can I transfer tickets that were transferred to me?

Yes, once you accept the tickets, they’re all yours. Can’t use ’em? Transfer them back to the person who sent them or to anyone you want.

Can I transfer my tickets before they are delivered to me?

Absolutely, provided Ticket Transfer is available for your event. If you see the Transfer button on your tickets, you’re good to go–even if your tickets haven’t been delivered.
